It almost that time again.  We are looking forward to another great season of little league football.  Lonnie Bewley is the coordinator this season and is excited to get things going.  The first round of football sign-ups will be held on Saturday July 7th, 2012.  The teams are once again 2nd grade, 3rd grade, 4th grade, 5th grade and 6th grade.  To play on the 2nd grade team the player must have turned 6 years old prior to January 1, 2012.
 
Some things that will help your player prepare for the season are push-up, sit-ups and some running.  This will help them be ahead of the game as far as strength and conditioning.  Also remember practice will start on or the Monday before August 1st.  It is very hot this time of the year and it helps if your child has been outside getting acclimated to the high temperatures.
 
The sign up forms are available in the “Forms” section  of this website.  They will also be available at sign-ups but it will expedite the process if the forms are already completed prior to your arrival at sign-ups.  You will also need to bring two checks (one for league dues and one for the equipment deposit which will be returned at the end of the season when you return equipment) and a copy of your child’s birth certificate.
 
Equipment not provide by the league which you will need to purchase:
1.       Practice jersey
2.       Practice pants
3.       Mouth piece (recommend you buy at least 2)
4.       Cleats
